The PPB's little apprentice

I would think these are pieces that were "done in the day"? Which was pretty amateurish in a lot of cases as it was just done by guys racing their bikes, (not all of whom were great mechanics or machinists).

Of course it makes no sense to do work like that now unless at a level respectful of the parts which are no longer made. But you can't really get upset about these older examples. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is period work?

Look how thin that calliper arm is at the cable attachment.
