The best comedy is timeless. If a kid can still laugh at 100 yr old comedy, that says it all. Wonder how much of modern comedy will do that in 100 yrs ?

How about the Wll Hay and George Formby films on BBC2 after 5pm, oh and Monkey!

Saturday morning black and white series like Flash Gordon, Robinson Crusoe and Rocket Man, and there was the US 60's never ending series The Invaders.

Anyone mention Catweazle (a time-travelling wizard), with the superb Geoffrey Bayldon who went on to play the Crowman in Wurzle Gummidge - both great shows ?
