I’ve been grappling with making a longer cage touring derailleur out of a shorter road one, and bet someone here already knows. So …
on older 80’s derailleurs, the second pivot (p pivot? On the right below) is nicely exposed allowing the cage and spring pivot to be easily dis-assembled. Are the spring and spacer dimensions the same across the ranges? (I’ve got a tatty deer head and would like to put the cage on a 600 sis or Dura ace)
