Senior Retro Guru
looking to swap my specialized road bike for a decent hard tail
mtb.
i have owned this bike since new in 2009 (2008 model).
but it has seen little use mainly local commutte to work and ocasional sunday cafe run. its a 58cm with compact geometry im 6 ft 2 and suits me fine . size l. i have copied a review from cycling plus (bikeradar)
testing the same size.. bike is all original . its a comfortable ride with relaxed geometry . but would also make a competent race machine
handling is very good with tiagra 9 speed compact groupset. the new model which is more expensive comes with the lower spec sora!
excellent frame and carbon fork ideal if you wanted to upgrade
i bought the bike with the aim of entering the odd sportive
but unfortunately an injury at the time (not on bike). put paid to the idea
and its spent more time in the garage than on road
i have maintained it though lubing adjusting etc the bike has no hidden agendas
im looking to get back to off road now though so looking for a decent spec bike to possibly swap or part ex
frame size ideally 20" but consider 19 or 21 depending on geometry
i need a top tube length 23" minimum .
will send pics if any interest
ps have spds on bike at moment will leave them and a wireless computer on if required
cheers
