Amazing, actually solved something,

After a few mile test ride I definitely now have three gears.

I've noticed that I can get it working on a stand, but then under load on the road it can be a little unpredictable and unsafe, switching out of gear unexpectedly. I need to make some adjustments to solve the following:

- The low gear (3) is quite hard to select as the cable is tight, which sometimes makes it jump back down to the middle gear (2)

- When in middle gear (w) it is very easy to nudge the grip shift with the tiniest movement and it will cause the bike to shift down to high gear (1)

- Also, it sometimes freewheels going from high (1) to middle (2)

If I can cancel these issues out, keep it in adjustment and repeat the adjustment if required then that's the bike all sorted

Never did think much of the twistgrip, is it worn or snagging the cable. The old trigger was far better.

Even when new you had to have the wrists of a budybuilder to engage the lowest gear using a twistgrip, even then the cable always seemed under tension and would jump down into second.

Almost like the twistgrip and the hub were slightly mismatched......brings to mind the Chopper gearchange

Hated the above with a passion, twistgrip included. Used to have to PDI hundreds

Is the normal trigger shifter much more reliable than the twist grip?

If so, I may get one.
