For Sale: Stephen Roche Columbus EL OS Roadbike 56cm Ultegra 6600 SL / Dura Ace 7800 20 speed groupset, built by Rourke Cycles, Stoke on Trent.
One off frame, no others known to exist.
Mid 90s Frame: Columbus EL OS frame ("Extra Leggeri") 56cm ctc seat tube and top tube
Matching Original Forks: Columbus EL
Super light:
Lugged Frame: Columbus EL OS. Seat and downtube are flattened at the bottom bracket to increase stiffness, Italian threaded:1815g
Painted in the Colnago "Art Décor" style by Bioracer of Belgium
EL Unicrown Fork: 705g
Dropouts are Tecnociclo
Miche Headset
Shimano outboard cups
Parts specification:
Rare Ultegra 6600SL Ice grey groupset (FD, RD, brakes, twin chainset, 10 spd cassette), upgraded Dura Ace 7800 Ergo STi levers
Ultegra 6700 wheelset, matching skewers, with duotone Schwalbe Stelvio tyres
Cinelli Grammo art stem (highly desirable) including original rubber bung!
Deda Spectrum carbon handlebars (best 26mm sub 200g bars you can buy)

Bike weighs in around 18-19lbs which is very competitive for a steel bike. It was professionally assembled by Rourkes of Stoke and everything works perfectly- chain and cassette degreased and ready for summer riding.
Condition: Very, very good. Everything is shown in the detail pics. Wheels are straight and true with less than 200 miles on them. Minor wear to chainset crank from shoes.

How does it ride? Super responsive, and lovely cushioned steel frame ride. Stiffer than other EL OS bikes for improved acceleration.
