Spacing difference between middle and outer chainrings/ BB width change to achieve outer in middle position?

Fit that 103, it's the road size and would put the cranks, at least drive side in the correct position.
The NDS would be brought in quite a bit further, but you have extra to play with.
Worst that happens is you have to take it out ;-) either because the arms hit the frame or the crank hits the BB shell, the Super Low Profile, (SLP like m900) had milled down but to move under the shell if needed and look nice.

I'm with you on the out ring looks.
Though I do have mine in the middle position, I had at some point planned to put a bash guard on to stop clothes catching etc (commuter 1x9, 4?T ring)
Just never got around to it over the years and I have two new Rock Ring to go on as well.

Maybe I'll give it some love and finally get around to it.
