Well that's stunning for powder coat, the lug detail usually gets lost, who did the work? very impressive!! :)

LOVE the original scheme....you can get a chain stay protector to cover the grotty stuff, T Cut the rest and wax within an inch of it's life...:) Powder coat always looks like custard imho

That is my plan! :D

Powder coat like custard! My Carlton Pro begs to differ!

Very nice!

I think we might have rather high-jacked this poor chaps thread.....

I really don't mind at all. Been meaning to reply this evening myself!

The Benotto is nice, but might not quite be what I'm after. The price is pretty awesome though. And definitely cleaned up worse than that, I reckon it could easily look nice without a repaint.

You might find this interesting to watch just for fun, looks similar...

I'm actually tempted by an Olmo I was sent photos of as its been refinished by Argos so in good shape. Columbus tubing, but only Gara I think. Straight gauge? Dinky little 48cm frame so shouldn't make it too heavy.

Back to the original topic!

May be tempted to swap this (frame / forks only) for something really nice.

R J Quinn.
Reynolds 531 (All tubes and forks)
Original paint, lovely metallic pinky sort of pearl colour (it is touched up a fair bit in places).
Very lovely chrome.
Long prugnat lugs.
Beautiful original crest.
53.5cm Seat tube c-to-c
55cm Top tube c-to-c
Mudguard eyes
120mm rear spacing
British threads

Negatives:
Couple of dents in seat tube at derailleur clamp. Invisible when mech is on. Maybe someone overtightened at some point?
Had a fair bit of touching up of paint to retain original finish. BB shell has been painted in matching colour. It had a rusty cable guide which I removed so needed to paint.

Would ideally get something else first then look to whether I need to sell. But for the right frame, could be persuaded to swap.
Need more details... just ask.

Here are some crappy photos for now...
