Re:

Because of the shorter wheelbase e-stays climb incredibly well, that does then mean descending can be fun

Welcome to Retro Bike

Had a good look at your bike - and I’m intrigued to know .....Who or what is RubarB the green dinosaur?

Hey, thanks! It stands for Rusted Up Beyond All Recognition Bikes, it's the local bike co-op here in New Orleans.

Man, oh man, I am falling for the look of the vintage e stays pretty hard here. However, I've never ridden one. Is there a big difference to a standard vintage MTB?
There is a 92ish Rocky Mountain Cirrus frame, and a 98 Scott Endorphin Carbon complete on pinkbike, and a Haro Exreme complete listed locally (within 150km).
Do I need another retro project when I don't even have an operational mountain bike?

Like yakboy mentioned, a big draw is the chainstay design allows them to have a very short wheelbase. My large Ariel is about 16.5"? The draw for me is how large of a tire the design allows, some models clear a 26x2.8, which for me is unheard of outside some very early very heavy lugged ATBs and modern bikes.

doesn't stop a nice length wheelbase, added to tight rear end to climb and jobs a good un. That sounded almost nsfw. haha.

Re:

Not sure what decals to put on this, any suggestions? so far really impressed with the ride I am surprised how well it rides with the SIDs, spec is full stx RC group set brakes and levers snake shape chain stays. Totally changed my view of EStay bikes after the Kirk!

 Almost any bike would .... Most Kirks these days have broken joints in the rear end bonding making them feel like you've read wheel steering, that said mines a keeper as theres nothing else that looks like a Kirk

Kirk frames are actually quite useful. You could carry a couple of Kirk frames in your vehicle, and then throw them underneath the tires for traction if you get stuck in the snow, mud, or sand, and then hang them back up on the wall when you get home, and they'll look the same as before:
