I bought a manitou 3-way swinger off Chain Reaction in the end.
Also got a period correct fox vanilla to try, and for the front either the original Xverts, some 2001 Z1s or a pair of later Nixons.
Might go for some Xvert carbon Ts...though maybe a little overkill.
I will let you know how I get on.
