It's semi submersible, also used for drilling rigs etc. Other carriers for yachts etc are Sevenstar and YachtPath, although these can't cope with ships, and are not submersible. The carrying ship will sink itself using ballast tanks, so the base layer can float itself on. I have never loaded so many onto 1 ship, stacked like that, but they are flat bottomed barges, so simple to stack. Heavy lift cranes should move them off.
