Shimano deore xt front mech

Hi guys can anyone help me with some advice I bought a gt rts frame as a project and planning to fit shimano xt m739 model on it but can someone tell me what type of front mech I need not the size as I tried to clamp it on the frame but I don’t know if there different types so if anyone as a link to the type I need I be very grateful cheers

Hi Lee

You will need a Top pull mech. As the cable routing on the rts frame runs above the chainset and the cable comes down to the derailleur.
Other type is bottom pull. Where the cable runs under the down tube and comes up from under the chain set and clamps into the front mech.

Just search xt m739 top pull front derailleurs insert the size you need.
31.8 mm if I remember correctly...

I'm no expert but I think that's top pull mech. Easy to tell on older conventional mechs.
@mk one can you clarify
