Hi Guys !

Welcome to my full restoration thread.

Starting point before that frame landed in France :

I had this Rotec Wrecked frame from a good friend who was afraid of this amount of job !
Frame has been very hard sand blasted and looks awful. But no crack or big dent in the material.

All mechanical parts are absolutely screwed and need to be remachined :

Shock is totally smashed. Even special foot isn't usable again

So.... Let's begin the work !!

... So I started by slowly grind Front triangle and saddle box to remove that heavy sand blast grain.

Then send front Triangle to the painter :

And I started to repolish the swingarm :

Stickers arrived from Filip in Poland :

That thing started to smell good, but that was the easy job :cool:

Mechanical stuffs :

Rotec MK1 axles are running on Teflon bushings.... Those thing used to heat and made hard the suspension.
Riders used to modify to needle bearings all axles. That's the way I moved into.

Needle bearings installed into frame and swingarm

To seal this from mud and water, I insalled spi seals

And I machined new axles and tools to fit this new setting :

Then, miracle ! We found a NOS Rocer link, here in France !!! So, I pressed needle bearings and seals into as well !

Frame cinematics is now complete. All bearings been changed, and parts are ready...

Now, the bad point is still those special BB Cups, that makes the concentric suspension working... They are destroyed, and they need to be replaced.
I haven't found original ones yet, and that's a big job to machine brand new ones. This is what I'm now working on.
