Rock Shox Mag 20 Advice

Retro Newbie
I have a pair of Rock Shox Mag 20 which I had fitted to my Orange Aluminum Elite from new, which I'm now looking to restore to its former glory. Unfortunately the crown has disintegrated. I'm currently going through a warranty claim with SRAM which they will honour. Before I send them off I want to see if I have any other options?

Buy a replacement crown? Take the replacement forks, sell and buy another set of retro forks? Any other options I should consider?

Any advice appreciated

If it is, then it might be they have to warrent the recall.
Or just want to give you a voucher to buy new.
But get you steerer length a style and look for a new one, or look for some MAG 21s, they look a bit different and work better, but chances are you legs are on thir way out or cracking in that condition.

That's amazing corrosion
Can we have some close-ups please?
I wonder if being bonded between two steel parts has made it a sacrificial anode?

Here are some more detailed pics.

I understand there was a recall and that's what they have to honour I assume in the legal T's and C's when they bought them.
