Re:
Awesome Event!!
From the start of my day, it was a welcome change and, a relief that i could load the car with the sun on my back and knowing that it was only going to get warmer.
Just a little over an hours' drive and i arrived in the general area of scunthorpe.
The postcode for the satnav was pretty much on the button and i turned down into a short stony track to the camping area. you couldn't get lost.
The potential for a grander event is very real. There is acres of room here and secluded enough to feel like a proper venue for this kind of thing.
The morning atmosphere was all very chilled, i suspect a few jars of mead was consumed the night before. Nothing a sizzling sausage butty wouldn't sort out.
I needed enough room for a lightweight 3 x 3m shelter to set up my things and got conveniently parked right beside it too.
It didn't take long for campers to approach and extend their kindness by way of food and beverage. Namely gerrard and family, a thousand thanks to them!
Also a sausage sarnie from spudly was most welcome, cheers fella!
The whole event was organised very well and flowed with demand nicely. Thanks to our chris longun' and the guys at KORC, i failed to shake all hands but i quickly picked up who was who. Central scunny is a few miles away for fuel and supermarche's for all you need.
Hope to see you all again.
