I like the comment that the Ferrari has been wrapped up to prevent it spawning a car with US grunt and Italian design. 40 years too late I'm afraid.

Wiki is slightly wrong, early cars were built by Vignale but body production was bought in house after quality control issues. Volvo's P1800 had bodies built by Jensen until they bought production in house after quality worries, go figure!

i stood in the crowd around the veyron, looked at the silly, overinflated audi TT for a moment, said "where's a mclaren F1" and then went back to drooling over the maserati 250F
