It is a lovely bike and I really like the detailed review of it and a bit of history, excellent for a bike mag.
Though that rear mech looks like a M950 prototype as it has a lot of features just not used in the M900 but later used in the M950 (and partly used in the M910). The M900 is just a small minor tweak to the M735 mech
That and by 1992 the production model would have already been in full swing.

Its obviously a bit of 'Grandpa's axe' but that is the life for most survivor prototypes and such.

Nice, i'd have one of those.

althpough was this posted somewhere else in the last year or so, I'm having a big deja vu moment.
