Thats how they came scant, I was tempted to get something nicer made up but it has always done the job

I know mate ;) thats how they always were from new.. always looked like a cheap bodge IMHO.

who'd have thought that Hope could become a retro brand

loving that rear, trying to get the same result...........sort of on-going development really,

question is, will the brake stud snap off :D

I shouldnt think the brake boss will suffer too much,if youre worried the set on on the green clocky was cobbled together by my local mechanic and i reckon would fit and non disc frame
Given its simplicity :D
thats a bit of rim tape wrapped around the stay for protection from the jubilee clip,i havent moved it in 8 years .So it must be a secure enough way of fixing it to a stay :? if it hasnt moved despite what i threw at it

I also think its a lot better looking than a big clunky bar thing

Leaner :D

sorry for the delay tshzg, number stamped on the back of the pads is either CFA 248 or CFA 24B but most likely the first one.

thanks for the link
had contacted nick at hope and he confirmed they had the pads in stock but could only be ordered through official hope dealers
used the link and ordered two pairs from ebc
hope to get them for the weekend
thanks for the help
cheers
tony
