1998 Kona Kilauea 19” Mustard Yellow

£250 Cash only & Collection only (Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex, UK)

One owner bike purchased by me from Evans Croydon way back in 1998 (I have the receipt)
Light on road use only, in just the summer months
When not ridden stored all its life in my living room (yes, I am single...)
Well looked after and cherished but it's not perfect – as there are some marks and the spec is not 100% original
Note I have included most marks and damage in the pictures
Injury is forcing sale

Main Frame – Reynolds 631 tubing 19 Inches size
Marzocchi Bomber Z3 Light forks
Shimano Deore LX and XT drivetrain (crank length 175mm)
Avid Single Digit 20 cantilevers and Avid Speed Dial 1.9L levers (not on original brake pads)
Mavic Crossride UB Wheels – Straight pull bladed spokes (not original spec)
Continental Ride City Tyres 26 X 1.75 (not original spec)
Continental Tour 26 Tubes – inc 3 spares (not original spec)
Shimano PD-A530 Pedals - SPD clipless mechanism on one side and a large (93x78mm), firm, alloy platform on the other. (not original spec)
Selle Italia Saddle
Ritchey Comp SC Riser Bar - 670mm – cut down to approx. 560mm – brand new never been ridden – needs end plugs (not original spec)
Token TK986GA Double Lock Alloy Grips – Gold – brand new never been ridden (not original spec)

Some notes on the pictures:
If you can spot some White residue on the chainrings its White Lightning chain lube
The black tape on the seatpost is 3M reflective tape (can be removed)

Ahhh dammit. I really miss my one.. You wouldn't consider posting would you?

I will see how the sale goes, but don't want to consider the hassle posting yet

Might consider delivering myself <50 mile radius outside M25 - but that is too far for you in Somerset I think

Not sure if it helps but I had a bike delivered from someone here using Shiply.

The courier that I'd chosen collected the bike unboxed which saved hassle for the guy who karma it to me and saved me unpacking it too!!

That bike looks amazing too, love the colour and really love that Retnolds 631 logo too.

Ay no worries. I absolutely loved mine. Probably one of the best if not the best steel ride I've had. If you do ever consider posting I'd be seriously tempted... Or if you'd consider meeting maybe halfway
