1987 Raleigh Centenary road bike - listed as used, but unridden since new | eBay

1987 Raleigh Centenary, number 63 out of 200 made, 24 carat gold plated. Listed as used, but unridden from new. The pictures speak for themselves as far as the condition goes. I did try to very gently buff this out but did not want to go too hard at it being gold plated, so just left it.

These one off anniversary models are always interestingly priced . I don't think it's worth that but I'm not a Raleigh collector type ....

I don't either it's a standard 531 Raleigh with gold plate is how I see it. Not even Dura Ace.

I always thought it was odd to gold-plate a frame and then put a 105 groupset on it. I mean, if you're going to do that, go all out like Campagnolo and others did for their anniversary models. I guess they wanted it to be more affordable - a typical Raleigh compromise, you could say...
