Won't be using it in a wheel, just need it as a carrier for shimano cassette SS cogs on a spindle (a jackshaft) - i'll be grinding off the pawl section and the last 10mm where the lockring would go (bits shown in red), so the bit i'm keeping needs to still have two bearings in it (shown in green).
I believe that rules out most cheaper shimano hub ones, as they look like they have a thread where the pawls usually go, so can't tell what would be inside the bit i'm planning on keeping. Anyway, anything cheapo you might have lying around might be good for me. Thanks.
