those mtb chains, they were for rim brake wheels 
.....disc brakes were only just coming out....(hope cable) I was still running m900 cantis....& before v-brakes arrived on the scene. We're talking 94 vintage. They mounted the same way car snow chains mount....just on the tread of the tire & down a bit on the side wall.
Sorry I never bought a set.......& no pics.....
