I'm with PlusNet and I'll be completely honest and say that I don't have a bad word to say about them.
I've been with Sky (12 months), BT (12 months) and Virgin (18 months) before that and each had their fair share of problems, with BT being by far and away the worst.
PlusNet connected us when they said we would, we're getting the speed they said we would and we haven't had a dropped connection since it was installed on the 23rd February.
That's not to say that it is the same for everyone - this is just my own personal experience with the four companies. And, based on that, I'd choose PlusNet every single time from now on.

Ive had BT Infinity a few months and its worse service and performance than Sky. (And its currently more expensive, but thats my fault for not realising that my kids download shed loads more than they ever told me).
