Smart is hrd to define, my Shimano mtb shows are smart and stylish in my opinion.
Also when I first read it I assumed smart was meaning technically smart, giving some feedback to something, like a smart watch, smart TV I.e. a connected device.
She should find a target market for her interpretation of smart which i guess may be hitting Londons small wheeled brigade?

Done. I never wear cycling specific shoes - only either a pair of normal semi-smart shoes, walking boots or a pair of old trainers.
Probably never will unless you can find a way of making cycling shoes which don't make you look you are hobbled while walking, don't have that click-click sound while walking, and don't look like cycling shoes.
