I thought it was probably about time I posted some of my bikes here since I have being lurking in the shadows for the last while. So currently I split my time between the Highlands where I'm from originally and just outside Dublin where I work, so late last year I was looking for something to nip to the shops in Ireland.
So this late 80s Peugeot Express appeared on Facebook Marketplace, the paint job popped nicely and the low spec didn't bother me as I planned to modernise the drive train with parts I had lying around.
So here's a quick rundown of the parts I fitted after getting the bike.
Mavic 238 rims on STX hubs
26x2.15 Maxxis DTH tyres
Sunrace 9 speed cassette
40t 110 BCD chainring
Shimano Altus rear derailleur
Shimano UN300 Bottom bracket
MKS Sylvan touring pedals
Sks Bluemels 60mm mudguards
Avocet R20 saddle
Brick Lane bike wisp bars
Oury V2 grips
Bricklane bikes wisp handlebar
Portland Basil basket
So here is A few pics of the finished bike, it
Is perfect for nipping to the shops and it wheelies like an absolute monster with the front rack.
