Peugeot Energy 500

Hi all, I picked this frame and forks up as a Karma deal. I have found a little info but there seems to be disparity on its quality.

It's Columbus Pulse Tubing and Tange forks.

Just wondering if anyone can shed experience of the frames, just thinking which way should the build go

I have one of these, although it's currently with my sister so lord knows if I'll see it again!
The rear triangle was slightly out of alignment but I managed to sort that with an adjustable spanner and good old brute force (the non drive dropout was twisted).
Apart from that and being slightly weighty it seems well built, the internally brazed joints certainly look good and it rides quite nicely. Nothing earth shattering but a good solid bike. It's no longer built like this but no recent photos.

Sold these new - a good value all purpose practical bike, popular with winter commuters iirc
Stx-ish groupset?, I think there was something funny about the chainset

A bit of XT as standard so I guess it was half decent.

It was used by Peugeot/MBK, googling Peugeot Inexternal brazing should find you some info.

It was top of the standard, non 'Ala Carte' range that year, so not a bad bike.
