Peugeot 531 Professional tout Mavic

Hi all,

Finally getting round to building up my 531 Pro frame and Mavic 1000SSC groupset.

Just a 7 speed freewheel, gear cables and chain and I’m done.

Would really like to find some period correct Peugeot water bottles too.

This one has been a real labour of love.

I will source some Mavic pedals to put on when the bike is retired for display.
As I’ll be riding it occasionally when the weather is good and the mood takes me it’ll be modern Look Carbon Blades…. At least they are French!

That's a great looking bike with the Mavic group set, who makes the pedals? It's interesting to see how a French group set has Italian made brakes, Japanese chainset, shifter's are French Simplex and I'm guessing that the front and rear mechs were Mavic's own design and manufacture..
