Pace RC36 Stealth

So if the RC36 Stealth was a reworked RC36 ProClass2 - and could be set to 80 or 100mm of travel....
How did the RC38LongTravel differ? :)

The following Pace forks relied on circlips[actually E-clips] to not only hold the carbons ON to the push rods[and upper assembly] but also to SUPPORT the carbons too by having more circlips in similar grooves on the push rods inside the dropouts with various shims/seals etc. It is best to change all of them occasionally as they spread or 'relax' after a while and can be damaged during removal and refitting. Always make sure the clips are properly in the grooves too.

RC36 Evo2, Evo3, Pro Class 2, Stealth.
RC38 Airforce & AF2, Airforce LT & ST/Race

I keep these clips in stock in packets of 10 if you need the correct replacements.

The early RC35 MXC/MXCD/MD also used circlips but they were a bit beefier than the later ones and dont seem to fatigue as much.

I keep these in stock also in packets of 2 ;)

Carge: the RC38 LT internals are completely different to the RC36 and share very few parts in common although they outwardly look identical. The travel on the '36[PC2/Stealth] is adjusted by moving a spring[note: not REmoving a spring!]. The RC38 is constructed with fixed length rods to pistons in the air chambers/damper and so travel is not adjustable. Although if you fiddle with the air pressures you can get them to 'shorten' but they wont work then :D
