Had to pay quite a bit more for 25.5" inch framed carltons BITD. Maybe trying to recoup the original outlay.

That's the twin brother of my 1981 Corsair, I think I paid £240 for it back then, 25.5". That frame is in exceptionally good condition for a ~42 year old Reynolds framed bike, I'm wondering if the owner had the same terrible wheels [most likely the spokes according to GIGFY] which came with mine. It looks as if it did very few miles before the wheels were removed and it was never ridden again. If anyone wanted a solid touring bike I'd say it's prime - they will take a 700c wheel..... BUT, they are a 120mm rear hub which is always a problem. There are many Corsairs out there on Gumtree/Preloved/ebay, most not as good as this one though I suspect.
