I recently won a (you know what) auction for a NOS ES71 octalink v2 bottom bracket to fit a crankset I have.
I didn't notice this BB is the 68E "e-type" version to accommodate an e-type derailleur.
Since I'm using a standard clamp on derailleur, can I just use a 2.5mm spacer in place of where the e-type mount would go? And would this achive the same chainline as a normal 68mm BB? Or is there some other oddball spacing issues
I just want to make sure this e-type BB will still work and I didn't just waste 30$+shipping lol
