Not at all,but if you want to know the year of an Alan frame you could send email to Alberto Falconi(Alan)and he tells you.

Alan frames are usually date stamped on the seat tube, right side just below the seat lug, about where the world champion stripes are on yours. My own is an Alan super record sprint jan 1984 and marked " SPRINT184"
