I love it when someone highlights something I never new existed on here!

What would be a comparable Shimano group to this? It looks a bit less refined than a lot of stuff - bolts where you’d see hex heads etc but unique and to me desirable all the same.

I believe those are the same shifters that came with Sachs Huret groups from the late 80s, the sort of thing you'd see on Peugeots. I'm no expert but I would guess this would be similar in quality to Exage/LX. The fact that there is barely anything to be found on Weinmann mtb groups, except a single reference that I found, suggests it represents a doomed attempt at breaking into the MTB groupset market, probably their last Hail Mary before they went under.


Must be incredibly rare, doubt it would be that great in terms of functionality but what a unique design, and with a massive novelty/rarity factor.
