No Spend Transcend Sunday 9th June - Peebles

Re:

Gonna miss you clubby xxx

Sampling Lidls finest lager  , hopefully wake up for 6:30am and head down to join the fun in the morning.

Re:

Sorry to hear that clubby, but def the right thing to do.

Get a catch up another time.

Just did a 10k walk with shona, cuppa tea then bed.

Cya the morra 10ish in Sainsbury’s carpark?

Ach bummer clubby, we'll need to sort something else out up you're way again. Another Dunkeld trundle perhaps?

See the rest of you ladies at 10ish at Sainsburys...

Re:

Well, it's been an Up and Down sort of day today.
The downs were definately much better than the ups :D

I'll add photos later.

Many thankings to Zigzag for putting up with Keith and me today  , and giving us a guided tour of some of the best trails right in his back yard.
Some really good trails, a few brown shorts moments  , quite a bit of Brown mud, and I think we all had a "refusal" at some point in the ride

Re:

Agreed.

Only 12 miles but felt like a lot more. 2800ft climbing but was worth it for the downs. Really enjoyed that today, felt shattered after it.

The Strava elevation profile is mental zero flat bits.

Definitely worth a revisit soon.

Cheers to jim and Aaron for the company

Here's the only photos I took...

Thanks for coming down gents, glad you enjoyed it. Conditions were definitely challenging, After 2 weeks of rain Mast of Zorro was mostly a River Runs Through It. A fair few sideways moments from all of us, a bit of mince and a lot of climbing (Keith was really pleased that he was getting to climb up to the mast twice), but worth it - a decent mix of trails with an occasional out of your comfort zone moment. Given Transcend ran through most of it yesterday, it's stood up pretty well.

Empire of Dirt - Assorted race faces. Note Keith cleared for take off
