New old project/1948 Hercules Gents Light Tourist

The brake conversion isn't to my taste, but that doesn't matter cos it ain't my bike! It's also preferable to a tired old frame being weighed in for scrap.

Any more info on the resto process?

id call it a rebuild rather than a restoration, some of the parts were to far gone to do anything with, I would have liked to keep it original but I want to use it and would like to stop when I need to.
ive kept all the parts and will slowly bring them back to life, though most of them are easy to find replacements for and for not to much money

the BB had a cracked cup
the rims were far to rusty, replaced with 700c the axel needs filing eather side to fit the frame. spacing was 120
the bars got a bit bent on removal but easy to find a replacement
non drive side crank was black the other silver, need to find out cost of recromeing

It does have the added bonus of actually stopping in damp conditions though :D
