Never under-estimate your dad!

I suffer the opposite sometimes, we get on so well it messes with my relationship, I figure he'll be dead 'soon' and consider that so much I give him priority. Truth is he is only 63 and probably got ages left but I know the feeling of ignoring them and then passing, the guilt sucks.

He lost an arm in a motorcyle accident at 50, 3 months of freaking out, 3 months of figuring it out then back to work and never a complaint since. It is something I often think if happened to me I'd whinge forever but is the ultimate lesson; just get on with it, life is good.
