My New Saracen ATB.

Hi all , popped into my local bike charity to check what was around.

I scored this.

To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I never really appreciated the quality of 80s Suntour & Sugino until now.
The frame shows the usual patina for an '84 bike , an oily rag will be all that's getting, the components are beautiful. The Suntour XC Bear traps were so nice I've stored them safe and fitted newer shite that look almost identical.
So chuffed.

Thanks.. I am a tiny, tiny bit tall for it , a slightly longer ( sympathetic looking ) period seatpost will solve that. But yep it is easygoing .

I pop in to see if there's any old shite that I could bolt to my old 20 inch wheel shopping bikes ...I've spotted a few old mtb gems down there in the past ... but this Saracen really stopped me dead in my tracks .

Thanks ... The groupset is hardly klunker grade though... its better finished than XT ten years later and better than some shite nowadays!
