My impulse buy last night - a Richard Cunningham

Awesome! I saw that one on eBay, decided to wait and maybe go for the Alien that was up, too, then forgot about both!

I recently picked up a Nishiki Colorado. Looks very similar at first glance, BUT mine has a continuous seat tube (no lug at the TT/SS junction), and takes a 29.6 post. Has a "Made in Taiwan" sticker on it, too. I assume it's newer than yours. Cheaper 400LX Exage bits. It also alludes to Richard Cunningham design, I wonder how much input he had, or if he just one day set out a set of geometries for a size-run of bikes and they went from there.

Apologies for the blurry cell-phone pic.

legrandefromage, I recall seeing pics of yours whilst searchigna round trying to figure out how old mine is. I'm double-checking sizing, but I think a drop-bar set up is in the cards for me. Already have everything I need except the time to work on it :)

Look what I found!

I bought a blue (Fisher?) roller stem some years ago,

it was cheap and pretty ugly, but hey it is a Nitto and has the old school roller. Yesterday I started flicking with a knife on it and ended up peeling of all the blue paint - and volla there was a fully chromed Nitto :)

After a loong time in storage at my US transit storage, the frame is finaly here.

Now coupled with the fork of choice. Next up is preparations of both frame and fork - and then off for powder coating.

...drops prevailed(same spot with no falling off):

Although my frame was huuuge, it was a very fast trail bike. I would like another.
I have heard of MTB frames being built up for road work and even entered into races, time trials I believe and doing well, much to the annoyance of the road fraternity.

Parts came in this morning
