To be honest, i'm with Si on this one, only i'd rather boil my head

Lets see, drive for 8 hrs stop and camp in a crap camp site, which would probably be wet from all the rain, then get up after a crap night sleep and ride for 100 miles in wet gritty conditions then camp again, although would probably sleep well, then drive for 8 hrs back.

I will stick to team events thanks

I did a 100 mile ride once. Was something ridiculous like Salisbury to Bath and back. Took me 8½ hours and that was all on nice smooth(ish) roads.
Off road yeah, you're talking days....

I think I'm gonna drop this one. I'm doing something the month before and the chances of recovering in time for this are slim. Next year though
