Wanted Middleburn Old Style spider 110 BCD

Hi I am also in France ;-) unfortunately VWP 110 is flat and has no offset so we can't do a "full French swap"
but seems we have the parts to all swap
110 Silver VWP goes to Montair
94 Black Montair goes to Primo
94 Silver Primo goes to Trailstar82
94 purple Bduc61 goes to VWP
110 blue Trailstar82 goes to Bduc61
a bit more complicated than anticipated when I started the thread but a UK/France cooperation despite the Brexit ;-)

I’m ok with 110bcd as well after giving it some thought. If I end up with a neutral colour spider then I’m happy.

Hello there, I just got my hand on a Middleburn RS-3 crankset, which are quite rare in my region, but the spider is purple and I'd really like to replace it by a silver one. The spider is a 4-bolt on type. An MTB spider could also be fine. Of course, trade is possible. Thanks !

Good effort @VWP I believe that the purple 110 to @bduc61 is flat (Rs2 spider) and doesn’t have the offset he needs (rs3). As I already have a 74 hard coat granny ring I’m only looking for a 110/74 now.

I’ll keep looking for alternatives, the problem is that these are all proprietary and selling would leave a number of us spiderless!

im not sure where the miss communication has been but im looking for a silver or black spider, I don't have a silver spider to trade..

I think I might try caustic soda or oven cleaner to make mine silver. I’ll test it on a cheaper part first though.

Yeah that may be simpler because the scheme seems too complicated for my standard brain
But I'm afraid the raw aluminium will be hard to polish due to the angles and weird curves.

this was what I was thinking, there likely a way to remove the anodising or see if it can be vapour blasted?!
