I've taken this on as a long term project, first job will be to remove the (stuck) seatpost, and then to see if I can salvage any of the chrome.

Some more news.

There are only two holes for a headbadge, and a Raleigh should have three.

So I reckon it could be a Carlton, either a Giro D'Italia or a Professional judging by the lugs. The top tube braize ons don't match any catalogue pictures of a Raleigh Professional either, although that is far from conclusive evidence.

I did wonder about the 2 headbadge holes. Carlton Professional could be a possibility. Have a look at the pics on this site:
