I’ve graded them from OK to very good. OK means functional but will have some scratches, good is lightly used and very good is close to mint, Anything worse than OK will have some extra description. I’m probably being a little harsh, but I’d prefer that people got something better than expected rather than worse. I have checked that things move freely and that shifters have the right number of gears as far as I can off the bike. Most of this stuff has been sitting in my garage for a few years so expect to have to regrease hubs etc, although I have tried to say when I think they need it.
