Hmm, didn't think of that. It was free except for shipping and arriving in a couple days, so guess I will be able to tell for sure then.
 
Agree with legrandefromage... Also it look more to a Mag 20 brace. Not the same shape and three brake holes on the Mag 20 (like yours) and one in Mag 21...

Looks to be a 1994 fork (top caps)
with a Mag20 butchered brace, even worse is they're not using the correct bolts.
 
Newb question: what point on the crown is the index point for the Mag 21's adjusters? Is it the gap where the stanchion tubes bolt in?

I've always assumed so, yes.
