Thank you for saving me from buying it. I kept thinking about but couldn't be bothered with the 100+ mile round trip even for a bargain 50 quid. I already have an 88 Palisades, non trail version so flat handlebars, and they really are quite nice. Look forward to seeing what you do to it. If you need a bit of inspiration,

1988 Marin Palisades

Picked up this 1988 Marin Palisades last week. To be fair it was in pretty condition so all I've done is give it a good clean and add some new tan walls. Normally I'm a bit of a bike snob and wouldn't get too excited over a Palisades but something about this just looks right to me.
