Kona Factory Team with Schwinn bikes ?

OK, pics. in the 97 brochure are taken during the 96 Grundig worldcup season, sure.
Could be possible, that Ian Cuthbertson was not satisfied with the ride and or the geometry of his sponsered KONA bike and decided to use a Schwinn bike, which fits him better - then they relabelled and painted the bike to look like the 96 team bikes, but................forget to remove the Schwinn badge from the front and then they choose exactly this pics. for the 97 brochure :roll:

Could be, or could be that he broke a frame just prior to the race and had to borrow something etc etc.

slightly off topic, but the Kona Misser replica is just a Turner Burner DH which is the same frame Tommi Misser raced in 1996...
