I need to find a new home for this Cinder Cone. I think it's a '94 or maybe '93. I bought it in bits a few years ago and rebuilt it, with the original bits or some contemporaneous (or nearly) bits & bobs. I think it's quite an unusual colour, I don't remember seeing many/any in grey at the time.
It has anachronistic Microshift shifters on it but I do have the Deore thumbies which would come with it. It also has shimano cantis - again I believe I have the original ghastly kona cantis if you wanted them. The wheels have STX hubs. There is a Kona water bottle that came with it.
Edit: I'd like about £300 for it, I guess, but please suggest an offer if that's too much! . The main thing is for it to go to a good home, although I would like to recover costs so I can buy some other unsuitable object.
Postage will be the usual £50 ish on top, at cost - or if you are near Plymouth please feel free to collect.
Note it does have a few scratches and chips and a couple of the decals have the odd bit missing - but overall it's very good when cleaned up. The pics were taken a few years ago and since then it's been kicking around in the garage so may have picked up more nicks from storage. If someone is interested I will happily take more pics but for now these should give a good enough impression for you know if you're interested. Note though that (annoyingly) the rubber plug from the top of the stem has disappeared - I 3D printed a replacement but it no longer has the original as shown in the pics.
It deserves better than to be ridden to work by some bloke in steelies and high viz, that's for sure, so I don't want to just stick it on eBay. If I had a mansion I'd hang it on the wall, but I don't. I would just like it to go to someone who would appreciate it's undeniable beauty.
