My largest 26er is the Kocmo, at 54cm and it doesn't feel big at all and I am only 176

But it has a slightly lower top tube than this.. however i have the tendency to ride too small frames, mainly around 48-50

Yeah true, I don't really find standover height that critical so it's not something I think about. I suppose it depends on whether you were intending to thrash it where you may come off the saddle and want to plant your feet with zero genital mutilation. Standover height is certainly more critical on a mtb than trekking/Road bikes
