Bought this off Kaiser some months back and been waiting for decent weather to photograph it in. Original thread here....

Most parts came off my deceased Dynatech MT3 but as is the way of Retrobike, a few upgrades were inevitable. Once again ended up putting as many UK sourced bits on as possible. It's a bad habit and not one I'm proud of.

Will be getting a silver King headset if Aspire ever get round to sending me the 2-nut adapter kit I've had on order for 3 months..

Looks really tidy. Good parts on a good frame.

Personally would use a different stem but that's a minor note. Very nice indeed.

You mean the rise is too high? Or you just don't like Syncros.

If you mean the former - I can see your point - but a lower stem would render the bike unrideable for me.

If you mean the latter - Syncros was never my favourite either - it's just what I could get my hands on in the right size at the time. Still umming and ahing about fitting an ahead stem but would need to get a new steerer for the forks first.

I would go long and flat but I would not criticise that on others, you have to go with what you like.

I think that the stem is a bit fat really, seems quite bulky aesthetics wise compared to the nice slender look of the bike.

:D good to see it again, and being ridden. I had a long and flat stem on and whilst it looked good lets just say the handling was a bit tricky

It must be a struggle not to return it to the previous build state. I'm looking through that thread now and expect great things from you. ;)

Damn this site is a 'spare' time destroyer!
