About the Fork no, don't know about theis issues, so please can you guys give me more feedback about them?

The stanchions are super soft and the forks were infamous back in the day because they used to fail very frequently.

I was just reading the article (linked above) and it mentions the super-soft failing stanchions were nickel plated and shiny.

The stanchions on this bike are black. Could they have been manufactured after the problem was sorted?

Does anyone know more about the version history?
