What's it measure from centreline of the seat tube to the centre of the middle ring?

Not sure, swapped spacer across and it looks about right now though. What should it be then?

I've always worked on 47.5mm, but I think modern mtb is usually 50mm now. Tend to just use it as a ballpark though and go by eye like you described, but sometimes it's handy to know you're at least close to spec!

This one is really growing on me. Feels very short and quick steering and more of a summer bike but maybe that's the Conti Vapours as they just about coped today. Anything stickier and I'd have been in trouble. Really nice to ride a 26 after winter on Brian's bike. I do like the 29ers though for comfort and the lack of effort. Have to pick your line a little more on this.

Chain line is sorted with two on the left and one on the right. Good for the HONC I think. Might switch to Panaracers though if the weather stays wet.

The 92 Explosif will have to go, all or in part as I don't need two so similar.

Probably nothing, but just be a bit aware of your old knees if the pedals have ended up slightly off-line to the saddle
