most suspension forks are disc ready, inf fact the more recent models no longer have bosses for v-brake or cantilever; the rear end is a different matter, especially with old frames.

This is my problem exactly -new fork on old frame, hence why I started this one. Lots of good suggestions though, although I am favouring the hydro front and mis matched rear now, maybe a magura...?
